Charles William; 1869-

The genealogical roots of Charles William BRUSH lie in the Gloucestershire Brush family and travel back via Thomas 'the much married' and William of Inglesham. He was my x cousin, x removed.

He was born on twenty something October 1869 and baptised on February 19th 1871 at St John's church Notting Hill. He is the son of Charles Wesley BRUSH and Sarah Ann (nee Eldridge) who are discussed in chapter 25.A . The family address at his baptism is 3 William Street.

Multiple census entries will later give his place of birth as Sittingbourne. There is a GRO entry in Q4 1869 in the Milton registration district which includes Sittingbourne.

At the 1871 census he is living with his parents at Allington Street in Kensington. They are still in Kensington in 1881 and 1891, with his younger brother George Thomas.
